How to cancel a booking

What does this feature mean?

It is possible to cancel lessons and other bookings that are not going to take place as originally planned.

Why should I use this feature?
You can use this feature to adjust teaching and other bookings in the schedule and at the same time send a message to the affected students and teachers if you wish. The feature may also provide the option to reschedule the cancelled lesson to another day instead.

How do I make a cancellation?
Cancellations are always made via the schedule. It is possible to cancel multiple bookings at the same time.

To cancel 1 booking -

To cancel a single lesson or other booking:

  • Click on the booking in the schedule
  • Click on the three dots
  • Select 'Cancellation'
  • Choose a reason for the cancellation
  • If the lesson is to be taught with a substitute, select the teacher from the dropdown list for 'Substitute'
  • Tick the box 'Send message to participants' if you want to send an email with information about the cancellation. A message will open as soon as the cancellation has been confirmed.
  • In the summary at the bottom you can review which bookings you are about to cancel and choose to remove a cancellation if something is wrong
  • When you are satisfied, click' Confirm cancellation'

To cancel bookings in bulk -

  • Go to the teacher’s schedule and click on 'Bulk Manage'
  • Click on the bookings to be cancelled or select all bookings for an entire day by ticking the box next to the date.
  • Then click the 'Edit' button and select 'Cancellation' (please see above for completing the details in the cancellation box)
  • The booking will now appear with strikethrough text in the schedule

To restore a cancellation

If you change your mind or made an error and want to restore a cancelled booking, do the following:

  • Click on the booking that has been cancelled
  • Click on 'Restore booking'
  • The booking will then re-appear back in the schedule without a line through it.
