What: It is possible to publish a course with an internal link. In this case, the published course will not be visible in the course catalogue, but a link will be created that can be used to invite selected students. Via the link, the student can access the course and apply or book a place.
Why: Use the function if you have a course that only certain students should be allowed to apply for. For example, a continuation course or a special course of some kind.
How:
Follow the steps below to publish a course with an internal link:
- Click on "Planning” and then “Publish Pipeline”.
- Find the course you want to publish with an internal link.
- Mark the course.
- Click "Publish Invitation"
- Set the date you wish it to be published from, name the link and then click "Publish".
When you name the link, make sure that the name is specific to that particular course so that you can easily find the link later. For example, it is not enough with "Wind Sectional" but rather, for example, "Wind Sectional, Teacher's name on Thursdays 2:30pm".
- To download and send the link, go to the "Published" tab.
- Find the link in the "Invitation Name" drop-down.
- Click the link.
- You will now be taken to the Course Catalogue where you can see that this course is only published for students with a link by checking the box "Invitational Courses".
- Select the URL, copy it and send it to the students/guardians who will be able to apply for the course
