What? The course catalogue shows the range of ‘courses’ and ‘bookings’ available to apply for at the school. This is where guardians apply for a place - or book and get a place immediately, depending on what opportunities you choose to offer.
Why? For customers to be able to search the courses and bookings available in the course catalogue, they must first be published.
How? There are different ways to publish:
- Courses - Where students apply for a place without any specific information about the day and time of teaching.
- Bookings - In the teachers' schedule - where students can apply or book a place on a specific day and time.
Publish per Course
Step 1
- To start navigate to the pipeline through ‘Planning’, ‘Publish pipeline’ and then click the ‘Publish per Course’ tab.
- Selecting the ‘Unpublished’ status, you can see that each course has a seperate row containing information about the venue, lesson length and age range etc. Using the different search boxes at the top of the page filter the list by selecting different options Eg – Venue.
- Tick the box to select the rows you want to publish and then click ‘Publish Selected’.
- Move to the ‘Published’ tab to see all previous published courses. Here you can also choose to mark and unpublish courses listed. They are then moved back to the ‘Unpublished’ tab and hidden from the course catalog until they are republished.
Publish Booking
Step 1
- To publish a booking click ‘Planning’, ‘Publish Pipeline’, then click on the ‘Publish per booking’ tab.
- Here, similar to when publishing courses you can sort by teacher, subject and/or teaching location to find the bookings you want to publish
- Click on the small arrow next to the booking title to see more information, such as which “Signup method” has been selected. It is this “Signup method” that determines whether students can book a place directly or must apply for a place.
- Click on the pencil to access the ‘edit mode’ of the booking. Here you can change any information needed and click “Save” when you are finished.
- A box will appear asking if you want to publish the course immediately or choose a later date for publication. When you are happy with the dates ,click ‘Publish’.
- Click to change the “Status” in the booking pipeline, select “Published”. Once a booking is published it is then available in the Course Catalogue for customers to apply to.
- It is also possible to publish courses with a “booking invitation” if you want the course to be searchable only for selected students. Read more in the guide "Publish courses with an invitation”.
