What? A school year is a period of time that can be freely defined. This period provides the basis for SpeedAdmin to limit planning, finances, and views to a specific time period.
Why? The school year provides the system with the basic framework for all work around the defined period. The holiday dates, automated appointments, statistics, etc. The school year is the basis for the timetable, which is the engine room of the system.
How? Follow the steps below to be able to create a new school year
Step 1
Navigate to ‘Teaching Periods’ in your ‘Settings’ and then click ‘Create.’
Here you can set exactly what suits your music school best, terms, half-years, calendar years or academic school years. Then enter the name of the period, as well as the start and end dates.
The ‘Visible date’ determines when guardians and students can see the period in their schedules. The date can be continuously adjusted, along with the name.
Remember: The start date of the new period must follow on from the end date of the last period.
