What: Skills and Training tabs are a useful way to keep track of teacher abilities, qualifications and professional development. If a database has previously used 'Skills' or 'Training' in Legacy, the existing data will now be shown in Play!
Why: These tabs provide a simple way to track teacher qualifications, skills, certifications, and professional development in one central place. This helps schools monitor compliance, support staff development, and quickly identify teacher strengths and training needs.
How: Follow the steps below to set up these new tabs on a teacher profile
- First you need to create your Skill and/or Training types in your database.
- Navigate to 'Settings' and 'User'
- Then click the 'Skills' option
4. Here you can add in any relevant skills for your teachers, by clicking 'Create'
5. And then complete the same exercise for 'Training'
6. Once these types have been created, the tabs will appear on the teacher profiles. If no 'Skill' or 'Training' types have been created in 'Settings', the tabs will not be shown.

Users with access to settings can see the related settings pages. Access to the Teacher profile and the right 'to edit' are required. This is not dependent on previous Legacy rights.***
