Legacy - Import student functionality

It is possible to bulk import students, and thereby creating multiple number of student profiles.

If not already in the meny, the "Student import" feature must be added to the meny first.

Settings -> Menu -> Superuser - Design:

Add the the Menu item "Import students":mceclip1.png

Now you are able to access the import feature from the menu:

When on the feature just press "Upload files" to choose the student exel template you wish to import:

IMPORTANT - the student data must be added to to designated template that can be downloaded below..

Be aware that parents profile is not created at the same time, but can be added to the student afterwards manually from the student profile.

Red columns are mandatory, and yellow are optional:

A help text will be displayed for each column.

When the file is uploaded you can do a Testimport and the system will show a status:

Green - will be imported

Orange - missing info in spreadsheet

Red - info in spreadsheet can not be found in database

By hovering over the ?-mark a help text for missing info will be displayed.

If satisfyied with the test import, press the arrow and then Import:

If student should be imported with active Lesson the following must be filled out: "Individual course", "TeacherInitials", "Startdate", "NumberOfMinutes" and "NumberOfLessons". If startdate and teacher is missing it will be created as a waiting list lesson.

Important - in column "Individual course" both Coursetype + Course must be added - tex. "Individual 20 Cello"

If student should be imported with active Ensemble the following must be filled out: "Ensemble name", "Startdate". If no startdate added it will be imported to the waitinglist for the ensemble.

Important - in column "EnsembleName" course" both Coursename + title of the ensemble must be added.

If test import is not satisfying you can clear it and start over:
