What -The attendance overview provides a consolidated view of students’ attendance across teaching periods and bookings. Attendance is shown as a percentage and is supported by statistics, graphs, and detailed lesson information.
Why -You use the attendance overview to:
• See a summary of an individual student’s attendance
• Track attendance for multiple students at the same time in groups
• Identify low or continuous absence
• Give students and guardians clear insight into attendance data
How
- Navigate to 'Attendance' from the start page (Teacher / Super User).
2. From the start page, teachers and super users can open the attendance list.
3. Here, the attendance percentage for each individual student is shown.
4. Attendance is displayed as a percentage per student and per booking.
5. The percentage is calculated based on how many lessons are marked and how many of those are marked as ‘Present’.
Example:
• 100% attendance: All marked lessons are marked as ‘Present’
• 75% attendance: 3 lessons marked as ‘Present’ and 1 as ‘Absent’
The attendance page also shows how many students in a booking are marked, for example 3/3.
The detailed attendance overview
6. Click on the student’s attendance percentage to open the attendance overview.
7. Alternatively, you can open the attendance overview via the student’s profile card by clicking the three dots next to an activity and selecting attendance.
8. When the attendance overview opens, a modal is displayed with:
• All lessons in the teaching period and their status
• A monthly graphical overview of attendance
• A complete list of the booking’s dates
9. Attendance overview at group level
At group level, attendance can be used to monitor and check absence for entire groups and individual students. For a selected day, the number of students who were present is shown, along with a consolidated group-wide view where all students are listed at once.
10. In the group view (image above), you can see:
• How many students were present on the selected day
• How many times each student has been absent
• Each student’s total attendance percentage.
This makes it easy to identify students with recurring or high absence and to follow attendance patterns for the entire group over time.
Consolidated attendance overview under ‘Planning’ (Super User)
11. Under ‘Planning’, super users can open a consolidated attendance overview for all students, regardless of group or booking. This view is used to work in a structured way with follow-up on problematic absence.
12. In the consolidated overview, attendance can be sorted and filtered, for example by:
• Teacher
• Attendance percentage
• Continuous absence
Through filtering, students with low attendance or a certain number of absence days can quickly be identified, making it possible to follow up according to the school’s routines and applicable attendance rules.
In this example, the list is filtered so that only students who have been absent at least three times in a row are shown:
In this example, the list is filtered so that only students with up to 75% attendance are shown, meaning students with more than 25% absence.
Since the range 0–75% is not appropriate in a test school, the filtering has therefore been set to 3–75%.
The list is then sorted so that students with the lowest attendance percentage, i.e. the highest absence, are shown at the top.
