Legacy - Assessments – Set-up

This guide will show you how to create a template for Assessments. In this case, ‘Assessments’ refers to your students’ end of term/yearly teacher reports.

 

Creating an Assessment template (Start > Assessment > Setup assessment)

To start, select ‘New template’ to create your first assessment template:

1. Enter a title, header/description, and footer:

2. Select ‘Add question’ to create the questions your teachers will need to complete.  
(Once you have created a template, you will also then be able to select ‘Add existing question’ to use any previously created questions within future templates):

3. Enter the question in the empty field, select the question type and confirm whether this is a required field which your teachers must complete. Select ‘Save’ to add the question to the report, then repeat as needed for all other questions. 
Top tip – For shorter questions, we recommend using the ‘dropdown’ field type option, so that you can structure your teachers’ answers. These uniform responses can also then be viewed/grouped in Lists:

4. If you wish to re-order your questions, you can do so by clicking on each question and dragging and dropping into place:

5. When you are finished setting up your template, be sure to select ‘Save’ at the top of the template page. You can also then select ‘Preview’ to see what your template will look like:

Your template is now ready for your teachers to use in completing their students’ reports.
