There are a number of discount options in SpeedAdmin. This guide gives you an overview.
System-wide discount models - automatic discounts (Settings > Discount > Discount Model)
- Model 1
- Gives discount (% or £) on ALL this student's courses :
This discount model calculates a discount for all students in the family based on the total number of children per charge rate. - Requirements: The fee and charge rate the student receives through the course needs to have set "Triggers discount" = Yes. Sibling/Family discount is recognised if the students have the same guardian profile as payer.

- Model 2
- Family and multi-course discount. The most expensive course is the starting point:
In this discount model, you define for each student of the family how much discount is given for the number of courses. The discount of each student is defined individually and is not calculated from the sum of the family members. When prioritising the calculation of the discount, the system takes the most expensive course as the starting point. - Requirements: The fee and charge rate the student receives through the course needs to have set "Triggers discount" = Yes. - Family and multi-course discount. The oldest family member is the starting point:
In this discount model you define for each student of the family how much discount is given for the number of courses. Each students discount is defined individually and is not calculated from the sum of the family members for all. When prioritising the calculation of the discount, the system takes the oldest student as the starting point. - Requirements: The fee and charge rate the student receives through the course needs to have set "Triggers discount" = Yes. Sibling/Family discount is recognised if the students have the same guardian profile as payer.
- Family and multi-course discount. The oldest family member is the starting point:
- Max price
- Enables a Maximum fee by rate or school year. Either per Student or per payer.
Course specific discounts (Course datacard > Course types > Edit)
- Same course discount - Discount in % for several courses with the same course and course type combination.
- Ensemble + Lesson discount - Discount in % for groups/ensembles is granted if an individual lesson (Course) exists with the student.
Discount scheme - Student specific discount (Student datacard > Charges > Assign discount scheme)
- Needs to be registered with name and ledger code.
- Defined for each tuition fee (% or £ amount).
- Can be assigned to each pupil under the tab "Charges".
Assign discount through a predefined list - Fixed discount (Settings > Discount > Fixed discount)
Discounts in % or £ amounts can be granted through a custom list created in the List module for pupils.
The List must contain the following fields to be able to work in the function:
- Student ID
- Payment adjustment ID
- Price
- Invoiced

Discount scheme |
Discount manually assigned, mostly for students receiving a discount they have applied for in the registration form. Assigning the discount scheme for a specific period will automatically give the discount per charge rate that has been setup on the tuition fee(s).
