UI - Activity Cards Redesign – Improved Usability and Visual Appeal
We've redesigned the Activity Cards to enhance readability, usability, and consistency. Previously, the cards were horizontal, with action buttons placed far from the main content and hidden in a dropdown, making them harder to find. Based on user feedback, we made the following improvements:
Better Readability & Grouping: Information is now structured in a more digestible way, keeping related details close together.
Easier Access to Actions: Instead of being hidden in a dropdown, action buttons are now placed directly in the footer for quick access. Since each card has a maximum of two actions, there’s no need for a dropdown.
Improved Visual Hierarchy: The new layout makes it easier to scan and find key information at a glance.
Consistent Design: The updated cards align more closely with the future Course Catalogue design, creating a more uniform user experience.
Better Space Utilization: Especially on mobile and when managing multiple activities, the new layout makes better use of available space.
Modernized Look & Feel: Larger images and a refined design enhance the overall visual appeal.
This redesign ensures a more intuitive and visually appealing experience, making it easier to navigate and interact with activity-related information.
UI – Modals are now moveable
Modals in Play! will now be moveable so it’s possible to move it around the screen and see data behind.
Default schedule view
In the schedule it is now possible to select default view (day, week, work week, month). The selection will be remembered for the specific user. It will default back to “work week” when the browser is reopened (closing browser and start again).
Show discontinuation date on request
It is now possible to see the date for when the parent requested discontinuation for the student. It is shown on the student’s profile page on a discontinuation request. It is also possible for the parents to see when they asked for discontinuation on the landing page and the specific booking.
Log when a user’s log in.
It is now possible to see when a user logged into the system. Can be seen from the users log on the profile page for the user (guardian, teacher, parent user). It is also possible to see if a user logs on as another user.
Allow cancel of a planned discontinuation after the last teaching day.
At any time, it is now possible to cancel the planned discontinuation. When cancelling a planned discontinuation, the student will be added back to all timeslots in the booking.
Show Gender in checkout and on the profile page for students
It is now possible to add a “gender” resource field to the checkout, so guardians can select the gender for a student.
If the school has an integration where we get SSN number (like NAVET), it is not possible to select the gender because we then calculate it based on the SSN number.
The gender will also be shown on the profile page for a student. If we have the SSN number we will calculate it, but the student can always overwrite (in the my profile modal) the gender if the “check SSN number” has been disabled (only for customers with SSN integration like NAVET etc).
